VEGAS HOUSE MUSIC | SOUL KITCHEN TURNS 5 YEARS OLD!
In clubland, things are ever-changing in a whirlwind of activity. New nights, remodels, venue changes, closures, format changes and new grand openings are the norm. It is very rare indeed for a night to make it for 5 years straight in any city.
This week we celebrate the 5 year anniversary of Vegas' favorite house music weekly, Soul Kitchen. The formula is simple...have a night based on quality house music with support from many local DJs plus a handful of guest DJs from out of town that you would never get to hear in the 702 otherwise and anchor it down with resident DJ Edgar Reyes. There you have it, the perfect recipe for a house night that matters!

Happy Cinco De Mayo everybody! We ended last week off with a bang at Sunday's pool party at Bare (Mirage) as DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett gave all the nekkid punters some of that sunkissed, sexy, summertime house. This week is another scorcher of a week as far as house music goes with a lineup of great music throughout the whole week.

Partners in crime Danny Boy (The Get Back, Kilowatt) and DJ Sensé (Casa Del Soul) not only work together, are both graphic designers, and DJ's...they also share the same birthday as well as having big round shaved heads and glasses. Astounding! Join us as we celebrate the passing of another year.
DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett met years ago at a European music conference in Rimini, Italy. At the time, Lisa’s massive vocal on ATFC’s “Bad Habit” was literally tearing through the entire dance industry. Through this connection, Dealer called upon Lisa to do a song together which ended up being the original production “Closer”. Releasing the cut on Dealer’s own Look At You imprint, this early project was the beginning of a very special relationship between the two artists.
Following that first production, Dealer was asked to remix The Goodfella’s “Soul Heaven” on Azuli (UK) which featured Lisa on vocals. Through these projects, DJ Dealer fell in love with Lisa’s voice along with the amazing personality that she brought to the table in the studio. The rest as they say, is history.
Upon developing DJ Dealer’s first full length album “Joyride”, it only made sense that he would once again call on Lisa to work on a song together. Almost 2 years in the making, “You’re All I Need” came to fruition as the first essential cut on “Joyride”. As the album began to take shape, Lisa ended up doing 2 more songs which have collectively become the vocal anchor that ties “Joyride” together. With three key vocal cuts on the album, it made perfect sense for DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett to tour together in support of “Joyride”.
Along with the collaborations and production work, the two have already done live shows together in Denver, San Francisco, London and most recently Las Vegas. They also have more production projects in the works for Lisa’s forthcoming album. Stay tuned as DJ Dealer and Lisa Millett take all of these ingredients and take it live on the road for the “2008 Joyride Tour!”

Some of you may remember the last time this dynamic duo came and rocked a 944 Vegas event at last year's 944 2-Year Anniversary on the Simon's patio at Hard Rock.
