This is an all vinyl set which is a continuation of my set on XRadio.biz for DJ Psychomagnet's show here in Las Vegas. I was feelin' the vibe pulling out a lot of my old bangers so I had to get it out of my system.

I would like to make a special note on the remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" that I put on this mix. It is a 15 minute long epic which is hands down THE original trance/progressive house record in my opinion. This is a super rare 12" remix done in 1982 by Patrick Cowley on the legendary Casablanca records. The clincher is that I found this record in mint condition in the plastic at an Arc Thrift Store in Denver for $2. Epic!

Patio Sessions has been great so far this summer with surprise international guest DJ's, along with a huge amount of support from the Las Vegas Underground! You may recognize the name from the classic tale by Charles Dickens, but this Oliver Twist isn't a character from a children's book! Here, his name is synonymous with the Southern California club scene. Spinning grooves for over 18 years! He has played at some of the best clubs and parties in the country like Level (Miami), Utopia (Vegas), Coachella, Giant (LA), Honey (LA), Union@Montage (San Diego) and Remedy (OC). Currently Oliver Twist has residencies at one of LA's biggest and best nightclubs, Spundae and with the infamous Funky Tekno Tribe. We our proud to welcome Oliver to PS in Las Vegas!

PATIO SESSIONS ft. SPECIAL GUEST GARTH!

We are extremely excited for this week's special guest DJ, Garth from the legendary Wicked Crew (San Francisco). Garth has been an incredible influence throughout the early DJ careers of Frank Richards and myself along with being one of the key players in America's dance music history starting in the early nineties.

Over the years, Garth has blown us away with some incredible sets that have always incorporated a broad perspective of dance music spanning over many decades. He is one of those rare DJs that has always had that special knack to bring it all together as one cohesive night of dancefloor bliss.

Please join us for this very special evening as one of America's iconic dance music legends joins us at this week's edition of Patio Sessions along with resident DJ Frank Richards and special guest Keith Evan on support duty.

...and don't forget Garth Part II as he joins the crew for a special poolside set at Lounge Inn located at the Artisan Pool. Hands down, this has been one of my favorite parties of the summer. From the music, to the party people, to the staff, to the location, to the sound...all the elements are there to make for an incredible pool day week in and week out all summer long.

Sorry for the long email ahead of time but we have a lot on the platter for you guys this week and upcoming so here. We. Go!


Looks like the ole Vegas weather decided to roll right into the heat of summer with no real Spring to speak of this year...at least it's not cold and windy that's all I gotta say.

This week we have a double header of guests joining us from my hometown of Denver featuring special guests Sante Suffoletta and Zac Larsen. Sante was one of Denver's original rave DJs when I was coming up in the scene there and owe a lot to him and a handful of other Denver jocks for lighting the dance music torch and keeping burning for the next generation to come.

On the other end of the spectrum, Zac held down the last underground specialty record shop in Denver called Sweat Records. That is not to say he is not a veteran of the scene as he has put on events with the likes of Fred Everything and more along with holding it down on the 1's and 2's in his own right.

Zac is also responsible for launching one of the first and only sustainable clothing/te-shirt companies in Colorado called Commit Clothing. We are proud to have Commit Clothing sponsor this weekend's festivities along with providing FREE giveaways for evening!!! Come scoop up some stylin', environmentally conscious gear!

Patio Sessions : : MDW Ft. Barry Weaver

For those of you that don't know, Barry Weaver is one of North America's legendary DJs from the old school rave scene. He came and rocked the house countless amounts of times in my hometown (Denver) over the years and has pretty much become extended family when it comes to my many connections through music. Barry has been an integral part of America's dance music scene over the years laying down countless amounts of amazing DJ sets over the years and we are very proud to have him as our special guest over this Memorial Day Weekend.

I have an especially soft spot for MDW in Las Vegas as it has become one of the premier destinations to hear dance music in the US provided by big name DJs all weekend long. Dance music takes center stage all weekend long in a town that is known more for it's DJs that have invented the "mash-up" genre opposed to being a legitimate place to hear some of the hottest underground dance music...so join us as we get together for this very special occasion as we bring one of America's most under rated DJs for a night to remember. As the Vegas weather cools down, Patio Sessions heats things back up as we bring you a stacked lineup this week. We are very excited to have Chicago's DJ Jes (Fresca Recordings) in the house this week as he is responsible for one of my favorite records called "Personal Surroundings" that came out years ago on Siesta. DJ Jes takes the loopy, jackin', disco sounds of Chicago and infuses them with rolling tribal rhythms and grooved out tracky goodness. This seasoned DJ/producer has put out a ton of records over the years and has definitely carved out his own expression of what Chicago house is. Respect and recognize, DJ Jes keeps it real as it gets on all fronts.

Also servin' up the beats this Saturday is our very own Lenny Alfonso and DJ Wil rounded out by resident DJ Carlos Sanchez to kick it up a few more degrees in the caliente department. Yes ladies...between DJ Jes, Lenny Alfonso and Carlos Sanchez, there is some seriously sexy Latin flava in the house...and don't sleep on ma man Wil either, just peep his press photos on Facebook ;-)

PATIO SESSIONS / OCTOBER 24TH / RESIDENTS NIGHT w/ DJ SENSÉ & CARLOS SANCHEZ

We would like to thank all of the guest DJ's that joined us for a great month of weather and music, we look forward to bringing more of Las Vegas' dance music community together in the months to come. This weekend is Residents Night where Carlos and myself take the reigns for the evening for an all night tag team set. If you really love gettin' down and dirty with the underground stuff, residents night is where we get to push the envelope a little bit, test out lots of new material and find the boundaries of what we can play on the SATAY Patio. From the deep to the vocal to the bumpin' and even towards some more techie flavors, we always enjoy taking things on a little journey for residents night. Be sure and join us after the big UFC fight this Saturday (Go Lyoto Machida!) as we take things on a musical ride.

We hope you are all getting your bad ass costumes together for our Grindhouse Music Halloween party next Saturday. All I can tell you about mine is that it will probably make me want to do very villainous things all night long ;-) We have been looking forward to this little throwdown for some time as my very good friends Joey and Fawn from Denver will be getting married here next weekend with a giant crew of Mile High beat heads in tow. We will be having a 6 DJ, B-Movie smackdown with 3 different tag teams going head to head for the evening. Let's just hope no swtichblades and brass knuckles get pulled out in the heat of battle because they will not be able to deal with my dual Samurai swords by a longshot! Don't even try it. Ha!

Oh yes! I am back in the 702 after an amazing few days in Denver last weekend but glad to be back to this perfect weather and another weekend filled with beats.

Thanks to all that came out last weekend for Frank Richards as he dusted of the ole wax (That would be vinyl records for all you digital babies!) for his night of dance classics. Heard it was a doozy...as much of a doozy it can be without the #1 trouble maker in the house that is ;-)

This weeks special guest is Baltimore transplant Mike Hopper. Mike has a rich history in house music within the Baltimore scene and has had numerous residencies there throughout the years. Baltimore is home to house legends like the Basement Boys and Mike Hopper is not a DJ to be sleepin' on by a longshot. His meticulous programming ,music knowledge and DJ skills will take you from the deep to the jackin' to the techie and back again smooth like buttah baby...truly a musical journey every time he steps to the decks. Just how we like it, we hope you do too!

Don't forget to start thinking about your Halloween costumes as it will be upon us before you can carve 1 triangle into your pumpkin bumpkin! Costume theme is B-Movie Bombshells, Badboys, Twisted Villains and Monsters. Bring the heat kids...this is Vegas yo! Besides, what is hotter than an angry sex kitten with a cone bra, a flip hair-do and a gun in your face? Exaaaaaactly!

First off, I would like to thank all who came out and made last weekend such a great one. The weekend after the Labor Day Weekend blow-out as well...bunch of professional party peeps in this town for sure.

My boy Adam Collins rocked the house Thursday at Soul Kitchen for an amazing night with Edgar Reyes and the crew. Dare I say Soul Kitchen might just be the party that puts Vegas haunt, The Artisan, back on the map as a cool place to hang out. The bacon is in the frying pan so to speak so we'll see if we can't light a fire under it...because everything is better with bacon right?

Also, a big thanks to the small but dedicated group of peeps that made it to Downtown Cocktail Room on Friday for Crazy Larry's deep and heady 2+ hour throwdown. Casa Del Soul's youngest member of the crew made daddy proud...the kid is gettin' all growed up, guess living in Brooklyn will do that to a bruva. Last but not least, thanks for another great Session on the patio last Saturday as our boy Theory put the Jack back into Jack's House. Well done, stick a fork in it.
